Nice survey of Jewish history in Czechoslovakia through the great collections of the Czechoslovak State Jewish Museum in Prague. The catalogue itself, at the rear, is really a checklist of the exhibit that traveled with the Smithsonian's SITES program, but many of the pieces are illustrated in the narrative text that constitutes most of the book.
Written to accompany an 1983 exhibition of judaica at the Smithonian. The text is a good intro to the history of the Jewish community in Prague.
The catalogue includes references to items displayed that relate to my family. Using the references in the catalogue I was able to find digital versions in the Jewish Museum Archives. A thrilling discovery!
