I am not very talented in the art of gift giving. I was hoping that this book would have some good advice. There were 2 things that made the book very unhelpful: 1) It's very outdated. 1996 was not that long ago, but in terms of the interests of the general public it may as well have been written in 1920. 2) The gift ideas suggested tend to be very expensive. If I could afford to pay for a friend to have a night at a bed and breakfast, I can guarantee you that I would not be at a loss for what gifts to give.
