The title story is an absolute 5 star read, fantastically satirical and a delight to read! The other stories are also a nice, liberal and feminist version of typical fairy tales. Refreshing and funny!

These fairy tales sound a lot like those found in the timeless classics (Grimm, Anderson, etc), but the content is full of feminist themes and liberal ideas. If you're afraid to hand your child a book of fairy tales because you think she'll become a woman waiting for a man to rescue her, this is the antidote.
