This outstanding volume offers students, teachers and general readers a complete introductory survey of the major non-western philosophical traditions.
Comprehensive resources on world philosophies are relatively rare, which is why this book is valuable. It presents a range of essays on issues within different philosophical traditions (in Indian thought, Islamic thought, and Chinese thought, predominantly).
You can read the whole book if you're particularly interested in all topics, or you can just read parts of it (for research perhaps) since they can perfectly well be read in their own right.
It does not quite tie the different topics up as well as, for instance, "World Philosophies: An Historical Introduction" by David E. Cooper, but it makes up for it in the depth of its analysis.
