In this ultimately deadly chess game stands Fiona, a striking redhead poised to kill Cleopatra Gallier. Cleo, the impossibly beautiful, clever, wealthy former talk show host, is as completely unaware of Fiona's existence as she is of Fiona's vengeful plan to kill her for taking out Fiona's love. The story unfolds in the deserts of Dubai and the beaches and gardens of Honolulu's paradise. Amidst CIA agents and a family that could explode if Cleopatra's deepest secret comes out, Cleo and Fiona finally face each other. But who is Fiona? Hidden under layers of secrets, this novel twists and turns as the handsome rogue Jake and his CIA undercover father Tripp fight battles of their own. A perfect cocktail of a spy thriller, romance, sex, revenge, and betrayal with a dash of hot fudge from American actress, playwright, and author Tina Sloan.

Balancing espionage with friendship, intrigue with anonymity, and mystery with murderous intent, Sloan has a killer combination in her second book of The Cleopatra Chronicles series, Chasing Othello.
Unraveling to an epic finale, readers emerge from the darkness with a whole new perspective, a new level of Shakespearean knowledge, and a new appreciation for the splendor of the colors around us. Tina Sloan’s Chasing Othello brings the beauty of Hawaii, motherhood, love, and friendship to the page in this romantic thrill ride of disaster and deception.
“Sometimes the truth’s stranger than fiction.” Chasing Othello was just as thrilling as Chasing Cleopatra. It provided the same level of ecstacy as the first book. And was just as good. If you're a fan of HEAs then this book is perfect for that. I am so I fancied it. I liked how there was still suspense here. 😂 Of course there just had to be twists. Which is great because I remained hooked. Just when I thought I got it figured out, plot twist!!!! My mouth hung open the entire time. 😂 I wish I could tell everybody just how good this is. It's soooo good. I mean, so many twists. And somehow every tangled thread manages to sort itself out. This is very very very impressive writing. Nothing too complex and yet, not too simple. It's just the right amount. I am trying so hard not to reveal any spoilers here. 😂😭 During the course of my reading, I occasionally gasped loudly. Making the people around me wonder what was wrong. How could I possibly explain it to them???? I love each character. It's like they are all dancing together. Their personalities complement each other. Another thing I loved about this is how the POV is still the same. And it somehow doesn't reveal the twists. The consistency here is impeccable. Usually, sequels are always the watered down versions of the prequels. This wasn't the case. And then the end? Whooosh Despite everything, I still have some questions to ask.😅 I couldn't possibly deny this book of the five stars it wholesomely deserves.

In “Chasing Othello,” the sequel to “Chasing Cleopatra,” Tina Sloan once again captivates readers with even more profound and vivid character development. Each character feels so real, as if they leap off the pages. Every chapter is filled with mysteries and surprises that often left me exclaiming, “What? Wow?” This second book is truly more engaging and hard to put down.
Throughout both books, I found myself really liking the character Jake. My hope for Cleopatra and Jake to reunite grew stronger. However, who would have thought that Tina Sloan would introduce yet another surprising plot twist there? This is further proof of her skill in crafting stories full of intrigue and surprises.
Overall, “Chasing Othello” is a perfect continuation of the series, with a deeper story and more developed characters. For fans of “Chasing Cleopatra,” this book is a must-read that will satisfy your curiosity and keep you eager to find out what happens next. Tina Sloan once again proves herself as an author capable of delivering fresh and thrilling stories.
Cleo and the Regan family are teamed up once again to thwart an evil plan, this time solely aimed at Cleo. But when they discover there's a traitor in their midst, what happens then??
This was such a beautiful follow up to Chasing Cleo. Another brilliant plot line, and I love that we still got to hear from Julia (she very quickly became my favorite character), and the ending of this book was heart wrenching! I cannot wait to get my hands on the final installment of this series, it's absolutely incredible work by Tina Sloan!
It is refreshing to see that this sequel keeps up with the pace of Chasing Cleopatra. One thing I found rather interesting is the fact that each chapter begins with a character's name. The narrative focuses on each of the main character's pov and it's highly commendable.
I loved the fact that the author blends betrayal, love and hate all in one story, giving the book the right amount of thrill and suspense. It definitely made me eager to know what happened next and as always Cleopatra manages to pull through and save herself from being a target and all the trouble that comes with it.
It’s great when a sequel manages to maintain the same intensity and suspense of the first book. The surprises and twists that leave you speechless are really what makes a reading unforgettable! And I like the way he described the characters, it seems they were written very carefully. It’s nice to see that the POV remains constant and manages to keep the mystery. really exciting when a book manages to surprise you all the time.
Chasing Cleopatra had me hooked from the first chapter! Tina Sloan has crafted a glamorous yet dangerous world where every page drips with intrigue and sophistication. Cleopatra Gallier is a fascinating heroine, smart, seductive, and deeply human. The settings in Dubai and Honolulu are breathtaking backdrops for a story filled with love, betrayal, and revenge. It’s like James Bond meets Desperate Housewives, in the best possible way!
What impressed me most about Chasing Cleopatra is how effortlessly Sloan combines the elegance of high society with the danger of spy life. The dialogue crackles with tension, and the pacing never slows. Cleopatra and Jake’s chemistry sizzles, and the emotional layers between love and duty are beautifully written. You can tell this comes from an author who understands drama.both on screen and on the page.
Love how Ms. Sloane entwined the characters' back stories with the Othello mystery. Trip's realization that with age comes changing abilities; passing the torch, which loves are forever and which are for the moment. The ending is a classic Friday soap episode; tying up loose ends with a sprinkle of what's to come. I'm looking forward to this summer and book three.
