Her Blackened Rose is the third book in The Blackened Series by Isra Sravenheart. As with the first two books, this is quite an original story with a dark fairytale feel to it. And as we have learned previously, this book/series stands apart from other ‘fairytale’ type stories in that it is all about the so-called ‘villain’. This is a great addition to the series- a fantasy full of magic, witches, revenge, prophecy, danger, spells, secrets, hidden agendas, and mystery. There is more to the story and situation than first meets the eye and I enjoyed following along to see how everything would play out.
Lady Isra, a powerful witch- with a bit of a black heart, and Astrid the raven/man, who is Isra’s loyal companion have a lot going on in this book. Isra disappears and its up to Astrid to discover what happened. That may prove to be more difficult than he anticipated, especially when spells are involved.

Thank you, Isra Sravenheart!

Her Blackened Rose is the third book in the Blackened Series by Isra Sravenheart. It is about a very, very dark witch who wants what she wants and will not take no for an answer. As I said with the other two books, Isra has given us an original concept that makes the story intriguing, and I must say I like this book better than I did the first two. This dark fairy-tale has a lot going on and not everyone is as they seem. Throw in some action and magic, lies and revenge and of course witches there is something for fantasy lovers who love a little dark story.

This is the third installment in the story of Lady Istra and Astrid, they have had time to receiver from their latest escapade, but Lady Isra has been changed by her latest experience, albeit she isn’t sure exactly what happened, but Astrid does and as he recalls the events, another problem is on the horizon for this duo of dark souls. Although Astrid has been honest with Lady Istra about some aspects of their life, he has also been hiding things from their past, things that he is not sure Lady Istra will be able to forgive him from hiding them and it is causing his some serious anxiety and a lot of distance between himself and his lady love. Meanwhile Lady Istra is becoming used to her new state of mind and body as she prepares for an unexpected meeting about the deeds of her recent past, but she counters every point with one of her own and succeeds in not relenting to the pressure being put on her. One member of the meeting is someone she hasn’t been acquainted with before, he introduces himself as Ronald and hopes that they can meet again in the future under more favourable circumstances. Astrid is suspicious and doesn’t trust the human, despite feeling no magical energies coming from him, he is just being protective of his Lady Istra and safeguarding her from those he believes may do her harm.

Ronald O’Kutte however, is devising a plan to avenge his brother Kane O’Kutte, he believes that Lady Istra is guilty of involvement in his brothers disappearance and he is determined to strike at her weakest point and destroy her like she has done to him and his family. As he thinks about what he can do, Astrid is visited be an old friend who warns him about Lady Istra’s future and safety so that he can formulate a counter attack if and when needed, but he is finding it difficult to keep his secrets and is unwittingly increasing their distance while she does the same with him. Time passes and Lady Istra encounters Ronald again while on one of her walks in the forest, she doesn’t quite know what to make of him, however, she remains polite and keeps him at arms length until she can return home to Astrid. A few days later, after a night of passion and intimacy between Lady Istra and Astrid, she wakes up for one of her early walks and wakes Astrid up with screams when she finds a devastating tragedy has befallen a member of her household during the night and she is distraught, she shrugs off the attention from Astrid and the have an argument over it until she walks off and leaves Astrid alone at the tower, it is during this walk when she encounters Ronald by chance and he sees the vulnerability in her and decides it is time to make his move.

As Astrid is waiting for Lady Istra’s return he becomes more and more worried as the time passes and she doesn’t return, meanwhile Lady Istra is lost within a spell and try as she might, she cannot escape it, the only thing she knows is that she needs to find Astrid and engage his help to end the danger she finds herself in, but this is easier said than done when she is trapped in a world reliving all her past evil deeds. Astrid decides to confront the last person she was seen with and get an answer to his one burning question, where is Lady Istra? Can Astrid find Lady Istra in time before the spell she is trapped in consumes her, or will the dark plans others have made come to pass in their favour? This is another adventure where magic and reality combine to create a world where nothing is as it seems and secrets are kept and the truth of them revealed, but how it ends is only found out by reading all the way to the concluding events.

This is the 3rd book in the Blackened Series and I would suggest reading the first two to get a good feel for the characters. I love the mixture of fairy-tale and magic. What makes these books unique is that they are written from the view of the "villian" Lady Isra.

Lady Isra is a witch who tends to sway more towards the dark side of things. When she is brought back to life she spends time with her raven-man Astrid.
Astrid is the love of Lady Isra and in this book I feel that he has become more of a dark force in her life. However things and people aren't what they seem and when secrets from the past collide with the future it's hard to know what and who to trust. Add to this story Ronald who's is seeking revenge for his brother Kane and Lady Isra disappearing and it makes for a packed adventure full of twists and turns that will keep you gripped and guessing all the way along.

Her Blackened Rose is the third book in the Blackened Series by Isra Sravenheart. I highly recommend reading the series in order because the story continues throughout the books. This time the dark Lady Isra is challenged with trust and deception. Whom can she trust? Astrid and Isra are facing issues and then there is a missing man whose family blames Isra for the disappearance. In this book, the stakes are higher and there is more action and suspense to the story. I like how the series has developed and I have become more interested in Lady Isra's story. Also, there is an interesting development of what constitutes dark and evil. Perceptions change when there is more knowledge.
I look forward to reading the next book in the series and seeing what happens with Lady Isra next.

So this is the one where everything between Isra and Astrid is tested when their past collides with the future. Astrid is hiding a deadly secret from his lover one that could yank their union at the seams. Expect revelations. Unexpected allies and a race against time as the forces of darkness are out to get everyone involved.

This is the third book in this series which is just as great as the previous two books. I highly suggest reading the previous two to help your enjoyment of this series. This is a paranormal story where Lady Isra is back in another story. She is being held responsible for Kane's disappearance and now Ronald wants revenge. Then you have Astrid who may not be who Isra thinks he is and has a secret. As the past and present collide, are things really as they seem? This story is fast paced and full of action. The characters are strong and made the story fun and entertaining to read. There is alot going on with this story and the characters may or may not be as they seem. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens to Lady Isra. It is worth the pick up for sure.

Her Blackened Rose by Isra Sravenheart is the third book in the Blackened Series. This is a fantastic series that I would highly recommend reading in order. It is a continuation of the story of Lady Isra and I honestly think you would miss too much if you started from this book.
It has been a while since I read the previous books but it was so easy to jump straight back into Lady Isra and her journey. I easily remembered details that I thought I would have forgotten and reconnected with the characters straight away.
This whole series feels so original which I think makes it so much more exciting! This is easily the best in the series so far and I can’t wait for more.

This third book in the series brings with it familiar characters and new developments. It opens with Lady Isra surviving her "death" at the end of book 2, and shows the changes that this experience has wrought on her. Astrid goes on a journey to determine whether Isra is still immortal, or if she is now susceptible to malevolent attack. An important question, as Isra has a new enemy in Kane's little brother.
I appreciated some of the descriptions of people and scenes... they were illustrative and created a vision of what was being described. Descriptions of Ronald's thinking were particularly illuminative. I found myself sometimes confused by the writing, as there seemed to be words used improperly fairly frequently. It made reading mildly irritating. Once I got used to it, the story unfolded well, and it was a good addition to this series.

This book picks up right at the end of book two. Lady Isra has survived her battle with Everilda, but something has changed in her. She doesn’t seem to be quite as dark as before and Astrid is concerned that she may have lost her immortality.
Contessia is still around, but because of Isra’s distraction she lounges around the tower staying away from evreryone.
This book shows that everything happens for a reason, and if you are patient enough, you’ll learn that reason. I adore the relationship between Isra and Astrid and want more!!!

Isra Sravenheart returns with the third book in her Blackened Series. Thankfully, Isra returns from her death at the end of the second book which was a relief. The Series is primarily about her and Astrid so I would have been disappointed if the story continued without her. While Astrid is preoccupied with determining the immortality of Isra, a new enemy is introduced in way of Kane's brother. There is suspense and drama in this story which makes it an enjoyable and wonderful read. I loved this book just as much as the other two.

The author continues weaving her tale that transfixed this reader from start to finish. This is not one I would recommend picking up without having read the rest of the series simply because the character development is best appreciated in full. It is a fascinating fantasy. It feels authentic and original. This book and series continue to explore the line between good and evil in a very interesting way. I enjoy this author’s work and hope to read more soon.

This is definitely my favourite book in the series so far. I have been drawn into Lady Isra story from the start. I love how it is a change from the good guy/hero books and that the main character is a Villian. I really enjoy the chemistry between Isra and Astrid and you find out whether she is really evil like she believes. There is adventure, revenge and magic you will not be disappointed.

Her Blackened Rose picks up right on the cliffhanger we were left with in Her Blackened Heart; following the riveting tale of Lady Isra and her love, Astrid. Author Isra Sravenheart’s books genuinely keep getting more and more captivating as the saga and adventure continues. With each book she releases, her attention to detail and mesmerising passion continue to pull me in. If you’re someone that enjoys books that are quick and easy to read while also being spellbinding exploits, these are definitely the books for you- I couldn’t get enough of these books, and managed to read the first three in one day!

Her Blackened Rose, book three of The Blackened Series, is the continuing story of Lady Isra and Astrid, her raven friend turned human. Ronald O’Kutte is Kane’s brother, and he is out for revenge. His brother has disappeared, and he knows the witch, Lady Isra, is behind it. Becoming a warlock has always been his dream. To get back at Lady Isra, he must be well-versed in the darker arts. Can he bring Lady Isra to her knees?

The third book in this series is definitely a keeper. Isra Sravenheart has outdone herself in the writing of this series. Each book tells a little different story. This book contains some more information from the past, but this time it is Astrid’s story. The story becomes more compelling with each new storyline.

Her Blackened Rose is book three of The Blackened Series. As with the first two books we follow an original story of a dark fairy tale. This series is set apart from a normal fairy tale because it’s based on the Villain, and not a princess. For a series that started off slow this third installment was a great installment because it was full of fantasy, witchcraft, magic, drama, and more. Ms. Sravenheart gave us a lot to think about in this installment including hidden agendas, mystery, danger and secrets making her readers desperately want to know what happens next. I personally can’t wait for part four of this series.

I write this unbiased review as the narrator for the audiobook version of this title.

Continuing the story of Lady Isra of the Dark and her companion Astrid.
The dire battle that concluded book 2 has left our characters in disarray. Something has changed in their relationship. Something has changed in Isra. The rushing current of prophecy surrounds them as events foretold long before are now coming to fruition. Astrid leaves to search for answers and knowledge of how to keep Isra safe. They must both face their separate pasts and the people they have crossed.
The local Ronald O'Kutte is in search of his lost brother and all clues lead him to Lady Isra. Who will reach the end of their confrontation?

In book 3 you see Astrid and Irsa again. Only this time a little different. After book 2 Irsa has changed a little. She's not the same witch as from before. There's something different about her.

You see a different side of Astrid this time. You still see him as Isras constant companion, and lover , but you see something completely different. Almost possessive.
I was glad to see more from his perspective and more about his history! They both prevail over their monsters and it's not over yet! I can't wait to read more about Isra!!!
