Again, this is from an antiquarian volume of Hans Andersen fairy tales that I picked up in London without an ISBN. This take is another in the variant of 'man thought to be unintelligent proves his wit and wins the hand of the princess.' Features the omnipresent 'rule of 3' in fairy tales. What stands for wit centuries ago reads as random and farcical by roday'sstandards, but it is still a cute little story.,

Bumbling moron unwittingly bests far more educated and talented suitors for the hand of a Princess. I hate stories like this.

Jeg elsker H.C. Andersen!
Primært læst i forbindelse med et praktikforløb, hvor jeg promoverede og skrev artikler om forfatterskabet, eventyr og Odense.
