In Nightlight, an artist, an author, and a book designer have combined their talents to tell the tale of two little bears, Aurora Mae and Borealis Burl, who awake in the night to discover that something amazing is happening in the sky above them–the grand and glorious northern lights stage a fantastic show as a sprinkling of friendly fireflies contribute their sparkles to light up the night in a way the two young bears have never seen before. This book is a simple story about complex natural phenomena. The story reminds us that these "night lights" are out there, free for all who look for them, and that when we see them for ourselves, we can experience the same sense of wonder, delight, and reassurance that settles over Aurora Mae and Borealis Burl during this night of magic.

Giving this one a four but it closer to a 3 3/4.

I love that bears are named Aurora Mae and Borealis Burl and the pictures are fantastic. On the bucket list is see the Aurora Borealis! (Preferably in Iceland)!

This is a great book to talk about science, the Aurora Borealis or just a cute story! Like it!

This is the story about two bears who venture out in the middle of the night. While they are playing they experience the beauty of the Northern Lights and start dancing.

This would be a good book to bring out when talking about the Northern Lights. It could also be used to teach little kids that the night is not always dark and scary.
