Modern Heirloom Quilting: 12 Quilt Patterns for a Contemporary Home

Rate this book
This uniquely clever quilt pattern book celebrates the warmth and retro feel of a well-loved quilt, while weaving clean lines and cozy memories into a set of modern quilt patterns that are meant to be loved by generations of quilters to come. Amber Elliot's striking Modern Heirloom patterns have easy-to-follow instructions, different levels of difficulty and clear visualizations every step of the way. Even though these quilt projects are relatively easy and quick to make, they still have that wow factor that will make them a family favorite. For beginners and advanced quilters alike, these patterns elevate quilting skills by utilizing curves, playing with scale, and using modern color palettes.

Amber is a visionary modern quilt designer who has become a staple of contemporary quilt design in the international quilting world under the brand Alderwood Studio. Known for her uniquely ethereal and seemingly effortless designs, she now expands her repertoire with 12 fresh and versatile quilting projects. Her comforting organic lines draw from patterns in nature, and combined with modern geometric elegance, will uplift any space in your home. A must for contemporary quilters who want to make - or gift - lasting memories.

Some patterns in this book utilize curved templates that can be printed at home or at a copy shop.

I have already gotten the fabric to make Clementine. This book has many projects I want to do. The paper is also very soft, almost like vellum, and the photos are beautiful.
