Rate this book
Armed is a crime drama focusing on the lives of a group of teenagers growing up on a notorious estate in North London. Shaniqua Curtis is stabbed on the estate after a night out, killed by Troy Banks, the younger brother of the formidable Banks brothers.
Troy’s best friend, Clint Jackson, witnessed the murder and is keeping quiet, out of both loyalty and fear. He falls in love with Shaniqua’s sister, Aurora, but Troy and his girlfriend Brandy are determined to stop him acting on his feelings – fearing that the truth about Shaniqua’s murder will be exposed.
With the pressure mounting, Troy finds himself initiated into his brothers’ gang – and his dreams seem to be coming true. But the Banks brothers are in the midst of a war with a rival gang, and when they overstep the mark, the only way to get back at them is to get armed.
As the estate becomes a war zone and Shaniqua’s murder continues to haunt the ones responsible and the ones grieving for her, friendships, relationships and lies begin to unravel…
