Our oldest is a budding artist and she has borrowed most of the books on drawing from her Elementary School library. This book is a bit of an off-shoot, but she enjoys painting as well, so I'm not surprised. This is an interesting and helpful book that teaches about different tools, techniques, composition, and inspiration. It also offers examples of different pieces of art that help explain the concept being discussed. Overall, I think this is a good book about learning how to paint.
