The Five Years of Wisdom series is a collection of almost two thousand stories, parables, proverbs, anecdotes and teachings of the great traditions of human wisdom. All of them were selected because they spoke to me in some way. Mostly it was their ability to profoundly illuminate an area of the human condition. Sometimes, it was their way of revealing timeless truths while at the same time making me laugh out loud.
The 365 stories in this book - Year Three - span the full spectrum of human wisdom from African parables to Zen koans via Native American, Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish and Muslim traditions and everything in-between. A story for you to read every day of the year, planting a seed that quietly germinates as you go about your life.
The Five Years of Wisdom series is a celebration of the timeless wisdom of humanity. You will almost certainly come across stories that resonate strongly with you, cause you to stop and think about things in a slightly different way, and perhaps lead you to a clearer understanding of what it means to be human.
