Oh mon Dieu! Molly est à l'envers sur l'épaule de son papa ... puis papa l'attend dans sa chambre? Molly lave, et elle souffle, elle souffle, et elle souffle [la poudre] ... Quel désastre de blanc! Parfum sur le cou et parfum sur les orteils ... «Quelle odeur!»? Soudain, Molly se souvient de son papa. Elle court dans sa chambre et découvre ... Quelque chose est sûr ... ces phrases peuvent être utiles ...

Oh my God! Molly is upside down on her daddy's shoulder... then daddy is waiting for her in her room? Molly washes, and she blows, she blows, and she blows [the powder]... What a disaster of white! Perfume on the neck and perfume on the toes ... 'What a smell!'? Suddenly, Molly remembers her daddy. She runs to her room, and discovers... Something is for sure... these phrases may come in handy...

An enchanted story of how Molly, like all small children mess about with products in the bathroom. We have all made potions in the sink much to the horror of our parents. When Molly eventually comes out of the bathroom to her surprise her dad has fallen asleep because she has been in there for so long.

A great way of learning the French words for parts of the face and body and addressing children’s curiosity about their own appearance. The book also contains fun illustrations of Molly brushing her hair and her dad with a permanently kind and smiling face. This book is suitable for children above 3 years old who are learning French for the first time.

There are others from this series that I prefer (Puppy Finds a Friend, for example) but I appreciate it's accessible plot and timing as a good way to introduce French vocabulary to small children.
