The Distichs of Cato; A Famous Medieval Textbook
Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

I really enjoyed being able to read this book, and I've been looking for an opportunity to read it for a few years. If not for openlibrary.org, I'm not sure how I would have read this. I really enjoyed being able to see the Latin on the left-hand page and the English translation on the right. I'm a fan a proverbs, and these lessons from father to son in the form of couplets are beautiful.

Kind of a fascinating read about what fathers actually considered to be important in ancient Rome.
