I find reading the most difficult part of any JLPT test, so I bought this book in the hope that it would improve my reading, which I think it did to an extent. It is very easy to follow and the articles are usually pretty interesting and the grammar points are well explained.
The only bad point is that the articles are probably a bit too easy compared with the actual reading articles in the tests.
I would recommend this to anyone who has just finished JLPT 3 and wants to start reading up on JLPT 2.
I wouldn't normally put textbooks here, but I read this one beginning to end, and I found it really useful - the section on honorifics was like beating my head against the wall though.
