We enjoyed this as a read aloud. Folktales, fairies, goblins, selkies, and ghost stories all combined in this volume. We enjoyed it thoroughly!

Quite bizarre and dark, but interesting to see these reinterpretations. The endings of the stories were quite abrupt, but that's quite typical in traditional fairy tales. The illustrations were really wonderful and added much depth to each story.
