At the beginning it was interesting. The h just played along when a guy thought she is a hooker. She was like she is very expensive, knowing that this will stop him from harassing her. Which did. But the H heard her say this and was ready to pay that price for one night with her. Ofcourse h was shocked. But instead of clearing the misunderstanding she is just speechless. She is so flustered that she is already in his is suite and they have sex. Ofcourse she runs away in the morning. I wonder why she just didn’t clear the misunderstanding.
But anyways after this she starts her new job. After some day her company is took over by none other than the H.
The scenes other that the Hh interaction were boring. Also H’s behavior was kind a pushy.

This book left me of two minds.

On the one hand, it was very funny with many LOL moments. Lacy, our heroine, is an ex-model and aspiring journalist who just landed an entry level job at Fad Magazine. Zany is too mild a word to describe her. Since I have a personal aversion to madcap heroines, I alternated between laughing at her escapades and wanting to smack her!

On the other hand there was enough anachronistic male chauvinism to supply a whole line of '80's novels. The hero was a total jerk. I just couldn't see why our heroine was so enthralled with this Neanderthal!

Still, I could not stop reading, though I wish the ending had been less abrupt.
