Nicholas and Carmen: Sunsets With You

Rate this book
Carmen Rose has had more than her fair share of heartache and was always able to bounce back. However, after having her heart ripped from her chest for the last time, Carmen wants nothing from the opposite sex but instant gratification when she can get it, and an occasional night on the town. But deep down, Carmen longs for a love so strong that the gaping hole in her heart becomes nothing more than a memory hidden somewhere among the breathtaking skies of an indigo sunset...

You couldn't tell Nicholas Payne that the world wasn't his oyster whenever he was with Carmen. But, as his feelings deepened, panic and fear set in, and the next thing he knew, he'd skipped town. When a great career opportunity calls him back home to Detroit, he accepts, deciding to start anew and face the music of his past. But, when the past suddenly becomes too dark to see, Nicholas finds himself up against every obstacle imaginable, as he rushes to track down the love of his life before their sun sets...

Detroit Born and raised, India Tasheena Norfleet became an avid reader at a young age and eventually was never seen without a book. While India begin reading a wide array of books of many different genres, it was during the late nineties that India was introduced to African American fiction and fell completely in love with stories from the African American perspective. Romance very quickly became her favorite genre. By the time she entered high school, India had no other dream bigger than becoming a bestselling romance author and poet.

As years progressed to adulthood, dreams of becoming a writer fell by the wayside as doubt consumed her and the real world set in, but writing romance never left her heart. Family and friends, as well as some of her favorite authors continued to encourage her to never give up on something she was so passionate about. So in the summer of 2010, India finally sat down to pen what would become her first novel, Playing For Keeps. India has fourteen books to date (romance & erotica) and is currently signed to Danielle Marcus Presents! India lives in suburban Michigan and is hard at work on her next novel!

Wow

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end! Once I started reading, I didn't stop until I was finished. I am hoping in book two that Nic and Carmen are able to work through everything. Ari and her mom are wrong for the way they ruined Nic and Carmen relationship, and I'm glad Carmen over heard what they did. The way the book ended, left me speechless! I have a feeling Carmen is going to fault herself about what happened to Nic at the end. Nic just has to get through this! OMG, I can't wait for part 2!

Sunsets with you...

Against her best friend Mel's advice, Carmen found herself attracted to Mel's cousin, Nicholas. Soon after their meeting, they find themselves in a relationship which causes to be too much for Nicholas emotionally and he bails. He didn't just leave the relationship but he left the state. Carmen was devastated but with time she started to move on with her life. Fast forward, Nicholas has moved back in town and despite his mother's wishes, he has his heart set on winning Carmen back.

This was an easy and mature read with characters that were relatable. This book did have a good amount of grammatical errors riddled throughout it however I'm interested in seeing if Carmen & Nicholas will be able to find their way back to each other.

Carmen and Nic....OMG

Omg I feel so bad for Carmen and Nic, I knew his ole mama an sister had something to do with it. This was my very first read by this author but it definitely won't be my last. I loved how this story played out, Carmen has been thru so much already I see why she's so strong and stubborn towards Nic. Nic Nic Nic my heart went out to him, he really is a great dude and I can't believe they did him like that. I can not wait for part 2....this book was truly a good read

Sunsets with You

I'm glad I have part two already so I can keep reading. Ari and her mother really messed up when they felt the need to meddle. Nicholas and Carmen both played a role in the demise of their relationship and really needed to talk. It was crazy how Carmen tried so hard to be mean to Nicholas knowing how she really felt. I was pissed with Nicholas because he should've actually sat and talked with Carmen before giving up so easily behind a lie. I'm hoping everything will be fine and Nicholas and Carmen can finally get it together to repair what was once broken.

Love It Love It

If you haven't read one of India T Norfleet you missing out. This book right here is the bomb. Nick and Carmen have a chemistry but they just can't get it right. Not gonna spoil it to much but it's good. That ending still got my mouth open. She better redeem herself in Book 2. Waiting on it.

Mind Racing

The characters will instantly make you connect with them. There were a few errors, but it didn't take away from an awesome story line. Carmen and Nicholas keep your mind racing for more with an unexpected end that will leave you begging for a part 2!

Horrible!!!

This book was horrible!!! I've read this author before so I'm shocked. The story was all over and jumped around too much. I won't be reading the sequel.
