The writings of various members of the Society of Friends (Quakers) are pulled together in this book to demonstrate how the Society stands on their pacifist beliefs. Even if you don't believe pacifism is taught in the Bible, you should read this book. I believe the papers compiled for this book will clear up some of the misunderstandings many people have about pacifism. David Gross did a great job editing the papers to eliminate the "Old English", making this book easier to read than most books containing writings from the earlier historical periods.
