🖊 Reading this proved to be to the point, albeit dry 🌵, but interesting enough. What a way to go.

“. . . a confused murmur spread through the crowd. An old priest came to Captain Cook, with a cocoa nut in his hand, which he held out to him as a present, at the same time singing very loud. He was often desired to be silent, but in vain . . .”

This book puts forth a variation on spellings for Hawaiian place names, which intrigued me. More common spellings were place in parenthesis.
