There are local courts, state courts, and federal courts. In 1788 U.S. Construction was approved. There are 3 branches legislative branch, judicial branch, and executive branch. President can appoint chief justice but the senate has to approve. Only 5 justices need agree to make the courts decision final. Between 1788 and 2008 only 27 amendments have been made to the constitution.
