Lots of information about pearls and the place to go if you know nothing about them. But the best way to learn about pearls is to ask jewelers about them and to handle a lot of them. You should also carry a loupe, but then you do that already, don't you?

I didn't read every word but this is a reference book and rather thin on plot.
