A good introduction for a child to the world of train. I mainly borrowed this book from the library because it featured a picture of the controls inside the cab of the locomotive. After showing that picture to the little boy I watch, he was able to grasp that there were switches inside of the train, instead of an on/off switch on the outside like his toy train.

Definitely learned some things about trains and this is endlessly fascinating to our 3 year old, but it's a bit tedious to read every day!

Tons of interesting facts about all kinds of trains with beautifully captured photographs of trains around the world. A great book for kids who love moving things.

Includes pictures with captions, diagrams, timeline, glossary, and index.
