I read this book when I was a little girl and I was so fascinated with it. At that time I really believed that this was a real place where this beautiful woman healed the sick. I knew what it felt like to be sick and I was glad every time I finished this book. I think this is a good read for preschoolers.

Great little African tale. Africans people have a strong storytelling tradition. They used stories to pass down history and knowledge. this is a good story to keep the memory of the healer "conjure woman" alive.
