Principles of Electricity

Rate this book
Th fifth edition of this well-established textbook presents comprehensive and up-to-date coverage of the electrical principles required by technician students. It is essential reading for students on vocationl courses such as BTEC NC/D courses in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications and other related subjects, and has also been highly recommended for first year undergraduates. For this edition the chapter on semiconductors has been expanded to include field effect transistors and integrated circuits. A new chapter on electronic systems has been included dealing with the principles of amplifier systems, equivalent circuits, operational amplifiers and logic gates. The systems approach taken in this new material reflects the increasing use of integrated circuits. Concise, well-presented and supported by examples, this revised edition of Principles of Electricity is the ideal companion for technician and undergraduates alike.

Not strictly a review of this book, rather the first edition, published in 1953. Very clear, both in explanations, equations, and figures. All of the underlying theory is still relevant today. A very good quick-reference book with plenty of examples and problems to work through.
