Sams Teach Yourself HTML and CSS is part of Sams Video Learning Series. The program comes as a DVD that takes the learner through the process of creating their own website using HTML and some simple CSS. The tutorial is set up into four parts: 1) Webpage Basics 2) Webpage Graphics, Forms, and Media 3) Creating and Applying CSS Styles 4) Styling Text, Links, and Images with CSS.

Each of these parts is then subdivided into lessons, 24 lessons total. Lessons generally include a video providing instructions, a lab showing code discussed in the video, and then a short quiz based on the material. I highly recommend leaving open your notepad and practice using each new concept as presented. Also, be sure to hit submit after clicking on each answer of the quiz, otherwise you’ll wonder how you managed to do so badly.
