I was about in 6th grade when I read this book, which my father had and which I found fascinating (hence the 5 star rating). Belonging to the early post WWII generation, we heard stories of the war and this was definitely a tie-in. Yank Levy, the author, served in the British army in World War I, and also in the Spanish Civil War, and in the early 1940's gave lectures at the British Home Guard School, and also visited the United States.
