He has authored or edited dozens of books, including How We Got the New Testament and Fundamentals of New Testament Greek.

I am always on the look out for better tools to teach first year NT Greek. Stanley Porter has done great work in every area of the language (along with Constantine Campbell and Buist Fanning). I was really looking forward to this text BUT, I have this against the workbook--it uses words not found in the NT AND it does not provide an answer key for students, even as a free download via Eerdmans such as Bill Mounce provides.

Porter stands atop the mountain of Greek scholars today, so he (and Eerdmans) can do better!

Not the normal Grammar book you are used to. His method is unorthodox to what I am used in studying a language, but I am satisfied with the end result. This Workbook goes hand in hand with the Grammar that has excellent exercises.
