This is still a one. It's painful, plodding, and as slow as the donkeys the author keeps describing. I'm now not at all surprised that I couldn't remember the plot. Ask me in a week's time and I probably won't remember it then, either. A pity, really. This could have been a nice, enjoyable book, but there was far too much description and even though the end redeemed the story, the agony of the first 150 pages was too much to earn the tale another star.
