Published in 1979, 'A History of Passenger Aircraft' gives a narrative history of air travel, supported by more than 300 photos and other illustrations. Notwithstanding the fact that the history ends 44 years ago since when it has moved just as quickly as before, the narrative history is very informative and is full of intelligent insights into why various decisions were made, and consequently why they succeeded in their aims or failed. Very enjoyable.
