This is a really good book: this boy that was getting picked on by kids in his gym class. He was a little boy that couldn't do anything because he was weak, and he was mad because nobody would leave him alone. His coach pushed him into doing all kinds of stuff, but he just couldn't do it.
This book is really funny because he is mad at the people that are making fun of him.He gets hurt, so he's thinking to himself, "I need to get strong and need to show these kids off," so he starts to work out and being more active. More people realize he's getting strong. Rocco is like one of the big bodybuilders. He has this girlfriend, but she is trying to get with Travis because he is getting strong, so she leaves Rocco because she don't want to be with him anymore. Well he gets all mad and is telling Travis that he wants to match in the gym. Travis is like okay; well when the time comes, Travis is strong and has lots of friends and meets Rocco in the gym. They start to do all kinds of stuff. He gets knocked out, and he wakes up, and its all just a dream. It's funny because he thought it was all real and it wasn't. Irene U. 9th grade

I thought that Confessions of a Gym Class Dropout was an O.K. book because it was not necessary to drop out of gym class. The Coach didnt pick on him to make him feel like nothing, he picked on him because he knew what he was capable of doing. But he couldnt handle it the way coach was picking on him so he dropped out.
I thought confessions of a gym class dropout is not ok. I was thinking that i know some coaches are not hard on people. Some can be really harsh on their students and make them work hard. Whiches good because the coaches are doing just their job and probably get paid good.
I teach Read 180 and wanted to read something that some of my students are reading ... and I have to say I wasn't overly impressed. Maybe it's because it's such a low leveled book - but I felt bored throughout the whole story.
