Well written and thoroughly thought out look into his handicapping methods. Davidowitz is partial to trainer trends, track biases, charting key races- about which I knew very little- and hot jockeys. He believes weight is the most overrated handicapping factor and makes a solid case for calculating your own speed figures though I couldn't figure out why Beyers wouldn't alert any bettor to hidden class drops. Much to think about and add to my own handicapping in here.

My one thing I wish one of these books would answer: how good must you get at choosing winners before it is safe to start betting real $$.
