This is a great book about Benjamin Franklin. The author really strives to look at Franklin’s like honestly and not just promote him as a ‘Founding Father Hero.’ The writer takes you through Franklin’s early years starting out as a printer, through his political career, and his family life (or his absence in it), as well as covering his death and funeral. The author uses correspondence with friends and family as well as journals to study his life. This is a good book for anyone that wants to know more about Benjamin Franklin the man, not the legend.
