Fritha's Summer

Set in the west of England during the summer holidays, Fritha and her brothers live on safe, ordinary Harebell Road. Their adventure begins when their mother takes them away. They find themselves living in a derelict caravan in Cornwall and life isn't safe or ordinary any more. Meeting a strange, foreign boy leads Fritha to hidden treasure, danger, and the answer to a family secret.

It's quite the comforting read!
Idek how I was able to get my hands on this. It was an old, second hand book with browned pages and spots. To my surprise, it came with a cut out of a 2009 news article about the author herself, where she wore the same purple dress as the one in the book's author photo.
For some reason, if you look up her name, you genuinely can't find a single picture of hers on the internet.

And sadly the book never got that popular.
