-These dudes set out in early 1800s to find the Northwest Passage
-Thomas Jefferson was tight with Merriweather
-Started from Missouri. Weird because I just started reading Gone Girl--also set in MO (not Montana...I was surprised too!)
-Merriweather killed himself. Probably because they never found that Northwest Passage. However, as our author says, they were the first "white people" to travel that far west. Still don't know how I feel about that.
That's all I got. Pretty poorly written

Once again, a wonderful series for around fourth grade. These books provide pictures, maps, and appropriate sized print for the children to read.

This is a very educational book. It explains the on goings of Lewis and Clark in an enjoyable, yet informational way.
