Read for an insight into MacDonald who has given me a great deal of reading pleasure - mainly because of his Travis McGee novels, but I am making an effort to re read his works now that they are available again because of the magic of electroic publishing.
Thr book is both a history of his life, and a critique of his writing foundations. While it can be well argued that each reader creates his own critique it is always fun to see what a thoughtful reader thinks of an authors body of works both in general and in specific.
Unfortunately this book isn’t generally available. I got it through a secondary seller on Amazon - it had been remaindered out of a public library in Laramie Wyoming.
