MOCAs survey of New York based Malcolm Morley explored his career from the 1960s to present with over 40 canvases. The first winner of the prestigious Turner Prize for British artists in 1984, Morley defies categorization. Although his work has been described in relation to Pop Art and Photo-realism, his purpose is to create works that are purely about painting without being obviously abstract.
