About the author

I've enjoyed writing since I could hold a pen in my hand but officially started my writing career in 2006. Since then I've worked for numerous clients around the world and won a few awards along the way too.

Italy is a country I’ve always want to go to. It is where my grandparents came from. One of my concerns if traveling to a foreign country is the language barrier. What if I needed directions, what if there was an emergency? Well, Jo Linsdell’s book, Italian for Tourists, covers every possible situation that may arise. This is the one book I would want to have.

Ms. Linsdell broke this book into seventeen sections. Some of the sections included are:

Pronunciation
Word Stress
Italian Alphabet
Emergency Words
Numbers
Common Expressions
Greetings
Transport
Directions
Health

Not only is there every conceivable word you would need, you will also know how to pronounce them. And, each section is easy to read and understandable. Also included at the end of the book are Signs and Notices, A Map of Italy, and Useful Websites. The detail in this book is wonderful and thoughtful. It is easy to see the work and effort JL poured into this book. If you are traveling to Italy, this is a must have book.
