The Dangerous Path of Loving Jaesha
[Wicked though a love story with a positive ending, this erotic, very dark, standalone thriller contains graphic sexual scenes and violence.] Logical. Efficient. The way he wants it. That's what successful businessman Kenneth Stone confidently believes of his life as he strides into the studio of Jaesha Hampstead to get his regrettably slashed girlfriend-departed portrait restored. But dang! Before Kenneth knows it he's posing in his office for Jaesha to create a new one. When Kenneth's financial advisor arrives and Jaesha shrieks like a banshee moaning that the man is there to rip Kenneth off millions in a Ponzi scheme, Kenneth discovers there's a whole lot more to Jaesha than just paintbrushes. And that whole lot more would make a mighty fine business asset. Moreover, Kenneth Stone has a secret little talent of his own, a secret that could bind Jaesha to him indelibly. Kenneth crafts a brilliant plan for the seduction of his little Picasso not knowing that while he may be a born boss, Jaesha is a born saboteur. [ This is a Dark Romance novel and as such contains scenes of graphic sex and violence.]

I had know idea what to expect when going into this, all I had was the title, and that it was dark, well, I was half way through a book and thought.... yes, I will start when I have finished. I hadn't heard of the Author, I hadn't seen the cover or anything. I love Dark. So Yes.... away I go..
It is Dark sexually, but not non consensual. Things do go right up to the mark but these characters are learning about each other and not saying what needs to be said in a trusting relationship of this sort so bare this in mind. It wasn't actually as dark as I was expecting, the title really suits, it is as much a danger for Kenneth it seems as it was for Jaesha. The learning experience bit both of them on the ass.
What I got was a great read, I enjoyed the little element of magic, Jaesha's extra talent adds a refreshing bit of something to the story which fuels the fire on occasion, and I can really see her becoming a powerhouse in the business as she grows in confidence. If she appears wearing the Emeralds and if we get another story..... I hope so, I want to read about them. I enjoyed it.

Wow I just finished reading The Dangerous Path of Loving Jaesha by Lorain O'Niel. And, I can say that this book was HOT. There were a few details I am not sure I would have gone into as much detail with like the enema scene. (maybe because I am a nurse and have given them, who knows) But, otherwise I really liked this book and look forward to reading more from Lorain!
And, my message to Lorain is that I would like to see if she is wearing emeralds as well? That means I hope there will be another book!
Now I want you to know why I bought this book it was the 1 star rating that Lorain had! No one deserves a 1 star. These authors work very hard on their books and poor out their souls to write them.
The reviewer that left a 1 star stated "I quit reading this one either before half way thru or right after. It starts out pretty good, but uh uh; its too dark and in a sinister kind of way, NOT funny!!"
Lorain O'Niel did post this warning for this book.
"[Wicked Warning: though a love story with a positive ending, this novel contains graphic sexual scenes and violence.]"
Lorain's warning tells me that this is a dark book that is graphic and has violence in it. Didn't that clue the reviewer in because it should have!
When Authors put those warnings in people need to read them and don't buy the book if they don't like what the warning is about.
Okay I am now off my band wagon and I hope you will give this book a chance.

Thanks to the author for a free book to read and review.
I happen to like my erotic dark, and this one certainly fit the bill. Jaesha is a starving artist with many facets of personality. There is a paranormal twist, with her sixth sense peeking out at difficult parts in the story. Making the story a bit dramatic in places. Kenny is a millionaire/dominant who seeks out woman to play a submissive role in his pursuit of relationship. He finds Jaesha through a painting she made of him. She offers to draw/paint him a new one. This story follows all sorts of twists and turns negating the role of the simple plot by having more than a beginning, middle, and end.
With that said though, I found this book hard to get through. Some books don't give enough description but I found this one to be too wordy. I know that an author wants the reader to envision what she see's but I think this went a bit beyond. I also didn't really connect with either characters. I could tell which one was worse. Her for not being able to say stop, and him for pushing her anyways. I love BDSM, but the author really confused me as to what kind of relationship he really had with Jaesha. The submissive always had control but Jaesha doesn't have that. He wanted dominance but she didn't want to be dominated. It really confused me. I do howeve like being asked for a review, and I hope I have conveyed what I liked and didn't like.
Remember....no two people ever reads the same book.

I give this book 3.5 stars. I loved the story with these two characters. They were funny, they were stubborn, fearful and loving. Kenneth is a very controlled man, Jaesha is a woman who has never felt wanted. When the two of them strike this agreement, neither one of them knows exactly what the other needs or really wants. Jaesha is cheeky with Kenneth, which allows him to actually feel her humor and brings that side of him out also. Jaesha is stubborn as Kenneth is and this brings about some pretty good fireworks and dialog between the two. This story is also about two people realizing what they each need for themselves and will need to work on independently from one another. The triumph, the fear, the love, dominance and submission is not always sexual with these two characters, but they do conjure up some pretty hot and steamy scenes though.
