خیلی ظالمانه و بی انصافانهست که بسته کتابای محبوبت که به دقت از بقیه که نمیخواستی شون جدا کردی, به خاطر یه اشتباه احمقانه, قاطی بقیه از دست برن :(
چقددددر این کتابو دوستش داشتم. چقدر هربار بعد از ناامیدی ناشی از اخلاق گند معلما و درسای گندترشون بهش پناه میبردم و حالم خوب میشد. چه تصویرسازیهای خوبی داشت. هنوز به وضوح بعضیاشونو توی ذهنم میبینم.
بعد از این همه سال, هنوز به پیروی از اون دختره که دوست شخصیت اصلی بود, تا هرجا که ذهن پردغدغهی همیشه مشغولم اجازه بده, یادم می مونه که طعم آدامسم در هر روز هفته فرق کنه. که هفتههایی داشته باشم با ۷ طعم آدامس و اگه یادم رفت امروز چه روزیه, طعم آدامسم بهم کمک کنه به یاد بیارم. گاهی هم البته تقلب میکنم.
و چه معلم ریاضی خوبی داشت.

Rereading the autographed to my son copy this morning made me remember reading it with him. I met the author at the Chinook Bookstore in 1993. I cannot wait to read it to my grandson.
