Book of Baseball Stuff

Rate this book
This book hits a grand slam right out of the park! No diehard devotee of the diamond will be able to resist this completely out-of-the ordinary look at the sport. It's rich in anecdotes about team superstitions (from the black cat that haunted the Cubs to the "Curse of the Bambino"), the antics of the superstars, and other stuff that comes out of left field. Think today's umpires have a temper? Wait till you read about the 19th century New Jersey ump who pulled out a gun and shoved it in the face of a player who came at him with a bat. Or about the time three Brooklyn Dodger runners found themselves at third base…together.

I thought that The Book of Baseball Stuff was really fun to read at first it was boring for the first couple pages but it gets better. After the boring part the book is about weird events in the middle of a game hotels in the baseball fields great plays and more! There are 192 pages in the whole book full of cool stuff that happens right in your hands in one of America's best sports ( besides basketball) and the best part is you never get bored because it's so action packed that it feels like a fast and furious movie but better. There is no way I even got close to being bored like not if I read it a million times even if it meant my life if I had to read this book until I died I would do it but I would be to excited every one and a while so I would pretend to read because a human can't handle that much action. I would reccomend if you like sports and funny things and of course action because who doesn't like all those things I know I like them. On a scale of 1 to 5 i would rate it 5 because I could never put it down and I would keep telling my teacher Ms.Estes about stuff that happens in the book. The only problem I had with the book is there are way too many pages at the start that you don't have to read there are like 15 pages that don't have to do with anything but the copyright year and what the book is called. Baseball a sport I play and understand if you don't understand baseball a lot it will be a little confusing but most of the stuff doesn't require much knowledge of baseball so basically anyone can read it. The book was really good and if you read it I hope you like it The Book of Baseball Stuff was a fun book and I recommend it to everyone even if you don't know baseball if your life depended on it.
