Tells of Bobby's adventures from his appearance in Greyfriars kirkyard until his death in 1872, portraying life in the city during the reign of Queen Victoria. Based on historical fact, Bobby's life involved real people including Baroness Burdett- Coutts who provided the funds for the little dog's drinking fountain in George IV Bridge, John Traill the landlord of Traill's Temperance Coffee House where the little dog dined. Well researched and illustrated with engravings from the period, the book also contains a heritage trail map.
