How Screenplay differs from Movie: Scarface
-While in the processing hall, when cops are interrogating him, they asked "So where 'd you get the beauty scar?" In movie they add to that "...eating p*ssy?" That was not in screenplay. (Movie better)
-While in Freedom Town, Manny needs to talk to Tony and pulls him from a soccer game. In movie he is playing basketball. (will confirm).
-After Rebenga hit, the next scene has Manny and Tony wondering around Miami. This is where Manny does his tongue thing to a female. In movie, this scene is later and altered a bit. Tony talks to a little kid and tells him his friend is going to stick his tongue out to a girl. When he does, she slaps him. (Movie version better)
-Manny is more aggressive with Tony saying he is reason for Green Card and jobs (because of his connections.)
-As they drive to meet the Columbians, Angel is playing with a Religious Charm and talks with Manny about religious icons. Tony snaps at them saying there is no Gods and he doesn't like the voodoo sh*t. (not in movie)
-While the chainsaw scene is happening, Manny and Chi-Chi are outside waiting for Tony. Manny is pacing back and forth. In movie he is flirting with a girl by his car.
-During chainsaw scene when Manny and Chi-Chi get there and rescue Tony, the killings are similar to the movie. Some differences are that when Tony chases and kills Toad in the street, he uses and machine gun, in movie it was a handgun. Tony then goes back into hotel room and gets the cocaine himself. In movie, he says "Chi-Chi, get the yayo!" before he goes to kill Toad. In screenplay, Tony also goes and looks at Angel's dead body in the tub and grabs Angel's religious charm, fingers it, tosses it back in tub. (I love the "Yayo" line from movie, but I do like the screenplay with the Charm and Angel's body. It shows the hell Tony is creating/living in.)
-When they go to the Babylon Club, Manny is hitting on a girl with his "tongue trick" and she wants him to pay for her video poker. (not in movie)
-When Tony and Elvira are dancing, he asks her name and she says Elvira St. James. Tony says her name sounds like a nun. In movie, her last name is Hancock and he says it sounds like a bird. I like the movie better.
-After Tony visits his mom and sister, they do a montage. The montage includes Tony in an airport getting searched while a mother, nun, and old man get let through. Those turn out to be his mules. Next part is him playing golf with Chi-Chi and Frank, Tony is terrible and Chi-Chi is really good. Montage just shows the passing of time and making money and having fun. (not in movie).
-When Tony and Elvira get into his car and he kisses her and she tells him, "I don't f*ck around with the help!" In screenplay he just wolfishly smiles, in movie he puts on her big floppy hat and says “Ok! Would you kiss me if I wear the hat?” She tries not to laugh and they drive off. (movie better, shows she does somewhat like him).
-When meeting with Sosa in Bolivia, Omar leaves by helicopter. Tony stays behind and is walking with Sosa. Tony meets Sosa’s woman and they have a dialogue. (not in movie)
-After Tony is shot and escapes the Babylon Club, he goes to a safe house and sees a doctor. He tells Chi-Chi to find out where Frank is. (not in movie)
-The montage after we see “The World is Yours” sign (blimp in movie), there are several added things. Things I don’t recall from the movie are some people getting killed, shot of the morgue with tons of bodies, Manny and Gina making out and hiding from Tony and entourage at Tony’s wedding.
-When Tony goes to his Mom’s house to find out where Gina went, the fight between them is much more extensive in the screenplay. He tells her it was her fault and this has happened because she didn’t love him and Gina. Never helped him when he was in Army jail.
-After Tony kills Manny, they take Manny’s body with them in the car. Don’t remember that in movie. (will confirm)

this is one of my favorite books because it is about my favorite movie. it is about a cuban man named tony montana and he is a mafia and he becomes this really rich man hes like top of the line he buys a tiger to protect his house then gets married to the love of his life but that does not turn out good. after they are married they go out for dinner and tony gets drunk and he starts yelling all of these things that make her feel really bad. so she just walks out on him. then his sister has a private marrage with tonys assitant and he goes to her house and finds him at the door he pulls out a gun and kills him righ ton the spot. now his sister is crying and being a pain so he puts her in his car and takes her to his house. what he does not relise is that there is another gang hiding in his property and this meens war so he is in his office and his sister comes in and she gets shot about 38 time, now tony yells if its war you want its war your gonna get the world is mine say hello to my lil friend. and he shots up the whole place and then he gets shot about 10 times still alive then he says is that all you got huh ? and then a guy comes behind him and shots him with a double barrel shot gun and hes dead.
i can relate this to my life becausei have the game and i play it all the time.
i give this book a 5 because it always had action in it and it was not boring at all and i think people who like war should read this book.

This book really portrayed the downward spiral of one trying to club the ranks of the drug world. Tony Montana was a man who ended up owning everything he ever wanted but seemed to lack something inside of him. This book is basically the movie without all of the graphics.

Skull, now inches from Tony's back, pulls the trigger and blows Tony's spine out his belly.
Tony crashes forward over the bannister into the interior swimming pool below. He floats quietly face down in the lit blue waters.
As the titles begin their crawl up, the music theme is expressive salsa with a dash of gaiety.
The camera moving off Tony to catch the reflection of the lit sculpture on the surface of the still waters. It says: "THE WORLD IS YOURS"
And so, for the brief moment, it was.

I actually read the novelization of this movie, not the scriptbook, when I was about 12 years old. What was my mom thinking???
