The book I read was called “Secret Service” by Mark Beyer. I think this is a good book if you like Government related topics. I would recommend it also it tells you a lot about the Secret service and gives a full swing on what they do and everything. Also this book did a good job of catching my attention because of some of things it talked about and the best part is I don’t normally like government related topics. There were some points that made me question what was next. So to let you know, this book is about the Secret Service. It tells you about training for the secret service, what you have to do to get into the secret service, it talks about how they prepare and do everything to keep the president safe when going places, and it also gives stories about them taking people down who seem to pose a threat to the president. It gives you almost all the information you would wanna know about the secret service. There are things I like about this book a lot. One of the things I really like about this book is that on some pages at the end of the paragraph they have boxes that have “Classified Information” about the secret service. I like it because it gives some information most will never know unless you read this or another similar book. Another thing I like about this book is how it explains how they protect the president in different situations throughout the book. They tell a short story about how the president had to go somewhere and to make sure the president stayed safe they had the president change cars under a bridge and take a different route just in case of a threat or someone tries to harm him. One thing I don’t like about this book is that it doesn’t give enough info in the end of the book when they give a short paragraph about “The Future of The Secret Service”. With all of that being said I really liked this book and I do recommend it to people who like government topics or if you don’t I still think you should check it out. I personally don’t really care or normally like government topics or anything like that, but it did a great job at catching my interest and keeping it.
