We always talk of Africa as one big unit. Whereas African continent has much more diversity within. This one book covers all these little aspects. Well since its covering a whole lot of things hence there isn't much of in depth information. Quite frankly speaking I also learnt some interesting animal behaviour trivia from this. Along with it one will thoroughly enjoy the ethnic diversity of the continent.. The book is well segregated into east, west, central, northern and southern Africa.

This is not a travel guide, it is an overview of the African continent - the wildlife, the topography, the people. Photography is fantastic. Book is divided into regions with substantive discussion of the history and current attractions of each region. As sad as the lack of economic prosperity is in Africa, it is great that there is a part of the world that hasn't been homogenized.

Vague, sometimes incorrect this book delivers very little about Africa. The author couldn’t decide if she wanted to write a geography book or an anthropology one so she gave a little of both and it leaves you wanting. Amateurish writing, mediocre photography.
