I had only heard of maybe 2 or 3 of the poster artists in the book. Norman Rockwell and Dorothea Lange.
In my younger days I had posters of sports stars on my walls. Before reading posters I had not thought much about posters. I suppose I thought there were only posters of sports stars and movie stars.
My favorite part of the book was The biographies of poster makers that is in the back of the book after all the posters. It was interesting to learn a little about the careers and backgrounds of the poster makers.
My favorite second of the book is American Events poster The Barnum And Bailey posters are cool. And the rock concert posters are neat also. I particularly like Stanley Mouse's greatful dead poster.
And my favorite poster from that section is either Saul Bass's Vertigo movie poster or Niagara by Unknown.
And I also like Paul Davis's colored Girls poster. I like the colorful text.
After reading posters I know that a lot more people have been poster makers than I ever thought there were.
So I thought that posters is a book worth reading about posters.
