Forty-five year old Captain Tessa Fagan is no man's slave. So when she wakes up on a cruiser bound by a Kirillian commander who claims to be her master, she vows to win her freedom anyway she can. Even if winning her freedom means playing along with her lusty captor's frequent sexual demands -- for now.
Commander Chaos Battle has known many women in his thirty years but none as luscious and cunning as the human slave Tessa. Within days of acquiring her, he finds he is as much her plaything as she is his. Worse yet -- Chaos can't seem to shake the feeling that the voluptuous and clever human is definitely up to something.

I couldn't get into how Chaos changed, he was very alpha and domineering at firs then later on, I could understand his change of heart since he fell in love with her, but his personality of being less domineering and 'being broken' or being submissive to Tessa. I couldn't imagine a dominant guy 'sulking' during the part where they were flying out of the Kirillian planet.
There is a part that confused me.
I wished the last few chapters could have explained more. The sex scenes were very hot though. Enjoyable read.
Main problem: A warrior who is all about the conquering suddenly becoming more submissive? To where she runs the show? No way. Just not feeling it. I liked the h at first and admired her feistyness - especially since she is my age. But after a while it just got old - she was just too domineering. Yes two alpha's but they just never clicked with me other than sex. This is exactly the type of story I try to find - more of a capture type story where eventually they fall in love (like all those old fashioned romances)..and this one started very well but then it completely bombed out bigger than my 10th grade boyfriend by about 65% in. So much potential. Too bad.

2.5 I am left with a feeling of flippancy. Tessa struggles in her captivity and you understand her struggle to fight against her capture while accepting her body's will to just enjoying what her captor does to her. And although I see how Chaos could find Tessa's strength of character attractive and unique. I found his need for her unrealistically developed in the time frame the story follows. I believe if the relationship developed more before their flight I would find His sacrifice and the depth of their relationship more believable.
I totally loved the concept and could understand the type of relationship just needed more in terms of relationship development.
