One of the better mercenary type A-Team action books of the later 80's. Your usual backstory, three guys who fought in Vietnam together, can't adjust to society, so back to the front line. Add a ex-SAS Englishman to the mix and you got Cody's Army.

The Army is sent to Belfast to hunt down The Shootist" an insane one man wrecking crew out to destabilize Northern Ireland. Even the IRA wants to stop him while the Prime Ministers of England And Ireland meet to iron out some sort of truce. To add fuel to the fire, Caine, the Englishman, joins up with an old flame out to stop the IRA as well. As you might expect, violence ensues. A pretty good series.
