I borrowed this book on a whim as an ebook from my library. The cover is too cute and I love everything about the royal family, how could I resist?
But I actually expected it to be like one of the cute Little Golden style books written for kids. I was pretty surprised when I opened the ebook and found it to be over a hundred pages. Then I was a little unsure who the intended audience was. Was it for adults or for kids?
Given that it was longer than expected, I started it a different day. As it turns out, it’s still a really quick read. It’s not like it’s twenty minutes but I’m sure it was less two hours to read.
This book is about Queen Elizabeth II’s life. It starts on the day she was born and continues all the way through her death and the ceremonies honoring her life.
I’d guess the age range on this would be anywhere from an older child to an adult. It would be too much information for a really little kid and it’s not totally geared towards adults either (the definitions of words at the end of the book for instance). But I still learned a few things. And the things I already knew were written in an interesting manner. I also thought the drawings were cute.

A delightful summary of Queen Elizabeth II's life and accomplishments. A great book for upper elementary (and older) budding Anglophiles!

This nonfiction chapter book was fascinating! I enjoyed the history and combination of actual photos and illustrations.
