The Boy Scouts Book of Campfire Stories

Rate this book
Camping for a boy is exciting. What better way to spend a weekend (or a week) out in the woods, exploring and testing your ability to survive and thrive in the real natural world. At the end of a long day, as your crew gathers around the campfire after the sun has set, the sky is dark, and the food is safely stowed in the bear bags, you hear the tales of what happened to those who came before you. This wonderful book from the Boy Scouts is a treasure for all those scouts, scouters, and campers who want to spin their own tales and bring back the art of campfire story telling for their friends.

Nice stories though they would be difficult to tell around the campfire. They are also historically interesting.

Great reading for boys, YA and adventurers

Enjoyable reading still. Not as light reading as I remember from so many years ago, but well worth revisiting.
Please take the time to read yoursel before handing it off to children, or YA (young adults) as times have changed. Pick it up, a bargain at any price these are free now.
Enjoy!
